Trying to repair a cracked Fiberglass panel is never quite the same and will continue to let water in? Read Below...

Fiberglass roof panels date back in history to 1938 when they were first introduced in the United States. Fiberglass roofs have withstood the test of time due to their low cost, the fact that they do not rust, and because many of them allow for natural light through. The most popular fiberglass is a simple opaque white and most are translucent enough to permit sunlight to enter a building and will actually cut down on lighting costs and energy use. Fiberglass roof panels are also popular due to their wide range of colors that can be added enhancing their attractiveness.

Fiberglass is a material consisting of fine fibers of glass that is very sturdy and hardy. It is also known as glass reinforced plastic. Most panels are typically 2-3 feet wide and can vary in length from 8-16 feet. The panels are glazed which gives them a superior waterproofing seal and a tough, durable membrane to your roof’s structure. Fiberglass panels can crack if an object falls on them and if they do crack, it is best that they are repaired with the MR Multi-ply® Roof System
